Viceroy Hotel Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at one of our Washington, DC hotels. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment. You will work closely with other departments to ensure the upkeep of all guest areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's physical structure and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the upkeep of all guest areas, including public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Develop and implement energy management and preventive maintenance programs to reduce energy consumption and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Provide training to other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel.
  • Inform the Area Director of Engineering on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure, related systems, and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates, or permits.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
