Position Summary
We are in search of a skilled Security Officer with outstanding customer service abilities and a collaborative spirit, capable of providing an exceptional experience for our clients. The selected candidate will become part of our professional team and operate within one of our designated facilities.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $25/Hr
Work Schedule: Flexible
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage, patrol, and secure access to protected premises.
- Detect and mitigate potential risks to personnel and property.
- Ensure that only authorized individuals and materials enter or exit the facility.
- Apprehend and detain offenders in preparation for law enforcement arrival.
- Act as a mediator in conflict resolution situations.
- Conduct foot patrols of the property as required.
- Possess a working knowledge of CCTV systems.
- Identify and report any irregular conditions.
- Enforce established rules and regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
- Provide security support for on-site special events as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and facility management.
- Conduct interviews for investigations upon request, gather data for reports, and summarize findings for management.
- Document all incidents, accidents, or medical emergencies to site management.
- Respond to emergencies, including medical situations, natural disasters, and imminent threats, following established emergency protocols.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
- High School diploma (or GED) required, or an equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and/or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role.
- Possession of a valid BSIS CA Guard Card is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of security experience is required.
- Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic computer proficiency and report-writing skills are necessary.
- Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
