Role of the Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)
In this role, the Registered Nurse will deliver professional nursing care to patients, adhering to both national and organizational standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the physiological, psychological, and developmental needs of diverse patient populations, including various age groups.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, the RN will assess and manage patient and family needs while supporting compliance with ethical standards and business practices.Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate care plans in line with established protocols.
- Assess patient and family requirements, providing education and instructional resources.
- Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision.
- Ensure accurate medication and blood product administration, following proper protocols.
- Obtain necessary pre-authorizations and consent forms prior to therapy administration.
- Facilitate dose adjustments by evaluating patient conditions, lab results, and treatment protocols.
- Perform venipuncture and manage central line devices.
- Maintain precise documentation of patient care and treatments.
- Apply knowledge of billing procedures and charge capture.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) position will possess the following qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- 0-3 years of RN experience; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Current RN license in the practicing state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
