Job Title: RN Infusion Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Infusion Nurse to join our team at US Oncology, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas.

About the Role:

The RN Infusion Nurse will provide professional nursing care for patients undergoing infusion therapy, adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
  • Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
  • Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time and technique.
  • Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management.
  • Perform venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central lines catheter devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
  • Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • Minimum 0-3 years of RN experience.
  • Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
