Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Physician Lead to join our team at Abode Care Partners. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to residents and patients across various settings, while also collaborating with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members.
Responsibilities- Provide complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across settings in partnership with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members.
- Keep high engagement with facility leadership teams, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, patients, and families.
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to support them in their clinical roles.
- Audit up to 10% of practitioner medical orders and/or documentation for each provider monthly.
- Assume medical directorships for skilled and/or other senior living facilities as needed.
- Identify new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
- Participate in company frontline/backup call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition.
- Focus on quality outcomes, including care path compliance, productivity, prevention of avoidable transfers, and decrease in polypharmacy and costs of care.
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and a Doctor of Medicine.
- Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
- Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
- Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine.
- Active unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of employment.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
