POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a wide range of Human Resources functions and processes at the designated site. This role supports the HR Manager in fulfilling business requirements and executing the company's strategic objectives. The HR Supervisor plays a crucial role in fostering employee engagement and spearheading initiatives that promote a high-performance culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cultivate the site's culture in alignment with the overarching business strategy.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to site management on effective performance management practices.
  • Assist staff with employee relations matters and escalate issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Serve as a champion for employee communication initiatives.
  • Advise site leadership on human resource management policies, processes, and systems, ensuring consistent execution of HR policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Foster positive employee relations and enhance employee engagement.
  • Lead or assist in site talent acquisition efforts, including full-cycle recruitment and partnerships with local employment agencies.
  • Advocate for cultural change management through effective collaboration and communication.
  • Investigate workplace issues, including working conditions and disciplinary actions, providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Act as a lead for site safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources across various functional areas. Equivalent experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • Proficient in understanding, creating, interpreting, and communicating policies effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Exhibits discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment.
  • Familiarity with US employment laws and the ability to apply legal concepts in practical scenarios.
  • Strong business acumen and comprehension of how Human Resources contributes value to an organization.
  • Highly organized and process-oriented with a keen attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.
  • Proven capability to manage conflict and resolve challenging situations effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing HR metrics and data to drive results.
