Are you an experienced accounting professional with expertise in financial management and team oversight? We are looking for a committed Accounting Manager to enhance our financial operations.This position offers competitive compensation, a potential hybrid work arrangement, and the chance to make a significant impact within a vibrant team.
Position Overview:
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm OR 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Position may evolve to include 1-2 days of remote work)
  • Salary: Direct Hire: $90,000 - $95,000 (Compensation may be negotiable based on qualifications)
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and direct accounting personnel.

• Manage cash flow, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable operations.

• Supervise reconciliations and maintain balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Approve general ledger entries.

• Analyze revenue distributions and expense trends.

• Create training materials to help program managers understand their financial responsibilities.

• Collaborate with the CFO to establish and enforce finance department policies and procedures.

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

• Generate and maintain accurate financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Monitor cash flows and forecast future financial trends.

• Develop systems for data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting.

• Establish and manage internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.

• Address financial inquiries by collecting and interpreting relevant data.

• Review financial and legal documents for accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

• Maintain financial databases and accounting software systems.

• Partner with the CFO to formulate strategies for the organization's long-term financial objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar capacity, ideally within a nonprofit environment.

• Proven management experience in financial systems, internal controls, staff oversight, and compliance.

• Strong knowledge of business accounting practices and GAAP.

• Proficient in financial analysis and forecasting techniques.

• Expertise in accounting software and Excel; understanding of financial regulations.

• Familiarity with government grants and funding accounting practices relevant to nonprofits.
