Ottimo Resources is seeking a dedicated and professional Export Operations Specialist to enhance our logistics team. We are a prominent freight forwarding organization looking for a motivated individual to contribute to our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and arrange transportation pickups from clients' facilities to our designated warehouses or carriers.
  • Manage the truck and rail movement of goods from the shipper's location.
  • Receive shipments, ensuring accurate counts and checking for any damages.
  • Input air waybill information into our logistics management system.
  • Handle Dangerous Goods Freight in compliance with DOT and IATA standards.
  • Provide customer service support, including invoicing and general administrative tasks.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for export, including Letters of Credit and Export Declarations.
  • Complete all required Department of Commerce paperwork for international shipments.
  • Ensure freight adheres to TSA security protocols and that Dangerous Goods are properly packaged and labeled.
  • Manage live animal and perishable shipments in accordance with federal regulations.
  • Negotiate competitive rates and space with airlines, shipping lines, and trucking companies.
  • Track and trace shipments throughout the logistics process.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of federal regulations related to international shipping.
  • Several years of experience in international air freight logistics.
  • Experience in logistics is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a TSA background check.
