Job Overview

American Hardwood Industries is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery. This position offers a full-time opportunity within a leading hardwood lumber manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and reassemble machinery for repair or relocation
  • Construct foundations for various machines
  • Install and set up equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Transport machinery to designated sites for servicing
  • Grind and file components of machinery
  • Fabricate structures and hardwood drying equipment, including the maintenance and replacement of drying lines and kilns
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, including measuring instruments, welding tools, and metal fabrication equipment
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: GED/High School Diploma and an accredited Millwright certification
  • At least 10 years of experience in a Millwright role or a similar position
  • Familiarity with Cleereman, PHL, and other hardwood specialty equipment manufacturers is a plus
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels
  • Capability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
