We are currently looking for a dedicated Material Handler for our 2nd Shift operations. The hours for this position are from 1 pm until completion, Monday through Friday.

Position Overview: This role involves general oversight in the checking, storing, and organizing of materials within the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities: The following tasks are typical for this position; however, employees may be assigned additional related duties:

  • Transport materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated locations.
  • Sort and arrange materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined order based on size, type, style, or product code.
  • Restock materials in assigned bin locations or fulfill requisitions for materials, distributing items to designated delivery vehicles.
  • Bundle and band materials together; package orders for shipping and prepare for truck delivery.
  • Measure, cut, and package materials as required.
  • Complete necessary Material Movement documentation.
  • Open boxes, crates, and other containers as needed.
  • Inspect stock for any signs of deterioration or defects and report findings accordingly.
  • Assist in the physical inventory counting process.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the Raymond fork lift for any damages and report findings.
  • Load and operate Raymond fork-lifts; prepare trucks for the next day’s deliveries.
  • Maintain organization within the warehouse and work area at all times.
  • Adhere to Company and OSHA safety policies; participate in safety and accident prevention meetings.
  • Utilize safety equipment consistently.
  • Perform maintenance duties for facilities as necessary.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Fork lift experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  • Basic mathematical skills are required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure is essential.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials weighing up to 50 lbs.; climb, crawl, and stoop to access materials; bend at the waist, kneel, or crouch for extended periods; reach overhead and horizontally.
