Warehouse Material Handler Job Description

At Graybar, we're seeking a skilled Warehouse Material Handler to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our products reach their destinations efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts, to move inventory and supplies.
  • Receive and store incoming materials in accordance with our warehouse management system process.
  • Select, pack, and palletize shipments to meet customer demands.
  • Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments, conduct cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure a safe and clean warehouse environment by following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspections.
Requirements:
  • No fear of heights.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment, including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders, and staying on the move in various temperatures.
  • Minimum 18 years of age required.
  • Good attendance and work ethic.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred, with prior large warehouse experience using a warehouse management system a plus.
