Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to support our industrial mechanical maintenance operations in the manufacturing and power generation industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with the project manager and superintendent to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain and update project documentation, including schedules, reports, and forms, to ensure compliance with corporate and regional requirements.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate subcontractors' work schedules and ensure timely submission of accurate reports and forms.
  • Equipment and Material Scheduling: Schedule equipment and materials, as directed by the project superintendent, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Construction Document Review: Analyze construction documents and drawings, forecasting potential field problems and communicating discrepancies to the architect, project superintendent, and project manager.
  • Submittal Review: Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with contract documents.
  • RFI Management: Write RFI's as directed by the project superintendent.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in all on-site meetings, including pre-trade, subcontractor, and OAC meetings.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 2-5 years of construction experience, preferably in a mechanical contractor.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of layout drawings, process & flow diagrams (P&IDs), and piping isometric drawings.
  • Business Acumen: Fundamental understanding of business activities and procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team of varied disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
  • Interdisciplinary Understanding: In-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
Compensation:

$70,000 - $100,000 per year
