Meat Department Operations Specialist

About the Role
The GIANT Company is seeking a highly skilled Meat Department Operations Specialist to join our team at our Newtown store location. As a key member of our meat department, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective and profitable operations through sales maximization and team member growth.
This role offers an estimated annual salary of $45,000 to $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process deliveries, rotate cooler stock, and maintain inventory control.
- Weigh, price, and label products, and prepare valued-added items for customers.
- Stock cases, provide excellent customer service, and offer product knowledge and suggestions to enhance sales.
- Manage department operations, including reconciling invoices, executing weekly merchandising plans, and maintaining sanitation and food safety standards.
- Train team members, manage department operations during absences, and perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S., able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
- Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, and use equipment and tools safely.
- Able to work in a cold environment and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
