We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Appeals Specialist to join our team at Global Force USA. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that appeals and grievances are processed efficiently and effectively.

Job Description

The Clinical Appeals Specialist reports directly to the Supervisor, Appeals and Grievances, and is responsible for processing appeals and grievances in accordance with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Outreaching to appellants or their representatives to obtain medical records and package pertinent information into a case for determination;
  • Directly interacting with providers to gather additional clinical information and communicating with members or their advocates to understand the intent behind appeals and grievances;
  • Providing clinical expertise and making determinations of medical necessity when necessary; and
  • Completing thorough investigations on all cases and providing detailed Case Summaries for Medical Directors' review.

The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of experience in a related clinical setting and be a Registered Nurse graduated from an accredited program with a current unrestricted license. Required skills include proficiency in CMS operations, medical records, and packaging.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated annual salary for this position in Newtown Square, PA is $93,500.
