The Bilingual Medical Assistant, Temp-to-Perm is responsible for:
- Assisting with the arrival of patients during their visits.
- Monitoring essential physiological indicators.
- Delivering direct patient care in line with established protocols tailored to the patient demographics.
- Exhibiting proficiency in blood specimen collection within the defined scope of practice.
- Administering medications according to established standards.
- Demonstrating competence in executing all procedures relevant to the role and appropriate for the patients' age and development.
- Providing ongoing support to healthcare providers for all patient-related activities.
- Managing telephone communications and appointment scheduling.
- Being well-versed in emergency protocols.
- Ensuring that examination rooms, utility areas, and supply carts are maintained in a clean and organized manner, with adequate supplies and functioning equipment.
- Reporting any significant information or unusual incidents as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of standard precautions, body mechanics, and patient care practices obtained through a Medical Assistant certification program.
- The role requires effective communication skills to interact verbally and in writing with patients, family members, and the healthcare team, ensuring accurate documentation of patient care tasks.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is required within 90 days of employment.
- BLS Certification is mandatory, as recognized by the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English is highly preferred.
Schedule: Temp-to-Perm, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
