Job Summary:

The Nexus Health Systems team is seeking a skilled Primary Psychotherapist to join our interdisciplinary treatment team. As a key member of our team, you will provide assessments and treatment of mental health issues through individual, group, and family psychotherapy in accordance with our established program and interdisciplinary treatment plan for adolescents with concurring psychiatric and medical disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and monitor individualized mental health treatment goals and objectives for each patient as part of the interdisciplinary treatment plans.
2. Provide evidence-based individual, milieu, group, and family psychotherapy, as well as other clinical therapeutic interventions in accordance with the patient's interdisciplinary treatment plan and the behavioral health program.
3. Schedule and coordinate regular individual sessions with patients and family sessions with guardians, as established by the interdisciplinary treatment plan.
4. Work under the guidance of the Program Director to establish a caseload and weekly group coverage schedule.
5. Provide timely and adequate documentation of all sessions and patient encounters.
6. Share de-escalation techniques, psychoeducation, and other effective clinical strategies with staff members to enhance patient care.
7. Participate in regularly scheduled team conferences with the interdisciplinary team for all patients on caseload.
8. Conduct ongoing assessments to identify and address behavioral concerns that may impact medical or physical rehabilitation progress.
9. Communicate and coordinate interventions with the interdisciplinary team to achieve cohesion and effectiveness in our specialized psychiatric, medical, and physical rehabilitation inpatient program.
10. Effectively communicate and provide accurate updates to the Program Director and Program Medical Director regarding treatment planning, behavioral programming, clinical coordination, goals, objectives, areas of clinical concern, progress, and services successfully implemented.
11. Provide recommendations and actively participate in discharge planning and transition from the hospital to the next level of care.
12. Present a professional image when representing the facility.
13. Stay current with the latest research and practices in behavioral management and care of patients with behavioral health concerns, as it applies to the role of the psychological treatment team.
14. Participate in ongoing program development meetings to assess the efficacy of current programs and make recommendations for treatment fidelity.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education:

Master's degree required.

Experience:

Training and experience in developing, training, implementing, and monitoring written behavioral programs.
Minimum two (2) years working in an inpatient hospital/rehab setting preferred.

Licence/Certification:

LPC, LMSW, or LCSW.
Must be certified in BLS. Must maintain current certification in good standing during employment with this facility.
