Key Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Home and Community-Based Services Aide is responsible for providing essential support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling clients to maintain their independence at home.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene; including hair care, oral hygiene, and skin care.
- Monitor and report changes in the client's condition to the appropriate supervisor.
- Drive safely and adhere to traffic laws when travel is necessary for work.
- Support household tasks that are crucial for the client's personal care.
Preferred Experience
- At least six months of experience in home care is preferred.
- Successful completion of a competency evaluation.
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR certification.
For Tennessee: Completion of a minimum of seventy-five (75) hours of training, including sixteen (16) hours of clinical training, within the first three months of employment, and the ability to provide basic services, including personal care and essential household tasks.
