X-Clinic STI Outreach Worker

Job Summary

The X-Clinic Outreach Worker is a critical role in providing evidence-based individual and community level interventions to target populations to increase education, prevention, testing and treatment of STIs in collaboration with the X Clinic at Codman Square Health Center.

This position requires a passion for social justice, equitable and affordable care, and a desire to meet our community where they are at.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning for outreach activities aimed at reaching our target populations, including youths, black and brown men who have sex with men, and non-US born individuals with a particular focus on outreach to the local Haitian community.
  • Develop marketing and social media campaigns to reach our priority populations in collaboration with the communications department.
  • Maintain accurate records of activity, including number of events, referrals to X-Clinic, names of community partners/organizations.
  • Represent X-Clinic/Codman Square Health Center at off-site health events in the community, at workshops, health fairs, and other events as assigned.
  • Track and maintain inventory on all outreach materials and supplies and work with Communications/Marketing team to purchase more when necessary.
Education and Outreach Grant
  • Log and track data in the E2Boston Education & Outreach system.
  • Work with CDPP Manager, X-Clinic Supervisor, and Data Analyst to produce quarterly reports to BPHC.
  • Support X-Clinic as needed by X-Clinic Supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or minimum of 2 years related work experience in STI/HIV/HCV field.
  • Creative, energetic and outgoing.
  • Experience and familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Lived experience and/or familiarity with the priority populations.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Prior experience working with LGBTQ+ Community.
  • Ability to connect with community members of various cultural, ethnic, and racial backgrounds.
  • Ability to work M-F 8:30a-5p with some evenings and weekends possible.
