Job Title: Welder Structural Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder Structural Fitter to join our team at Trinity Employment Specialists.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for laying out, positioning, and securing parts and assemblies according to specifications. They will also determine the required equipment, welding method, and techniques, and develop templates and work aids to hold and align parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out and position parts and assemblies according to specifications.
  • Determine required equipment, welding method, and techniques.
  • Develop templates and work aids to hold and align parts.
  • Ignite torch and adjust valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc.
  • Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies.
  • Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
  • Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Removes rough spots from work piece using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
  • Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Follow blueprints to arrange metal pieces and temporarily fix them into position before welding.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with experience in working with metal and steel. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
