REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Must have a MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE in welding (AWS Certification is preferred)

PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVES

Under direction of the General Manager, this position is accountable for the following tasks:

  • Weld structures and parts consisting of various cut, machined and welded components per drawing and instruction.
  • Ensure all products meet the requirements of work instructions, specifications, drawings, etc.
  • Adhere to company product safety policies and instruction during all production processes.
  • Willing to support/assist other manufacturing employees in their perspective duties.

SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS

In order to fulfill the obligations and objectives of this position, employees must be able to carry out activities such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Cut steel and aluminum components using a variety of industrial cutting tools & equipment.
  • Weld steel and/or aluminum components and structures using MIG or TIG welding equipment.
  • Effectively maintain tools & equipment per recommended procedures.
  • Have a clear understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Read drawings and determine efficient methods for fabricating and welding parts and structures
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment.

NOTE: Werco Manufacturing guarantees our full-time employees 40 hours per work week. Overtime work hours may be required in certain situations.

STARTING PAY FOR THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED ON CANDIDATE’S LEVEL OF WELDING ABILITY AND PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE. CANDIDATE MAY BE ASKED TO PARTICIPATE IN A SKILLS AND APTITUDE TEST.
