Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Cardiac Care Specialist, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing care to patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients with cardiac conditions, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
  • Work in a Cardiac Unit with an average daily census of 25 patients, utilizing Cerner for charting.
  • Participate in a Level I trauma center within a Magnet hospital/facility, ensuring compliance with flu vaccine requirements.
  • Administer blood products and manage high-flow nasal cannulas, CPAP/BIPAP, and non-invasive airway management.
  • Manage cardiac medications, including heparin protocols and titration of cardiac drips.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements:
  • Active Illinois license required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Telemetry or Critical Care.
  • BLS required, ACLS and NIH preferred.
  • Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy, including central and peripheral line management.
