Pulmonary Medicine Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Ambulatory Care Specialist to join our team in Pulmonary Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians to manage acute and long-term medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct examinations and write prescriptions under physician supervision
  • Collaborate with physicians to manage patient care
  • Assess patient status by obtaining health history
  • Order and perform laboratory diagnostic tests
  • Treat illnesses, administer injections, and suture wounds
  • Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care
  • Counsel patients and families on preventive health care
  • Participate in peer reviews, chart reviews, and staff education

Requirements:

  • License and active registration as a physician assistant or registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York State
  • Successful completion of a physician assistant training program or nurse practitioner education program
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board
  • At least one year of experience as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in ambulatory health care

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual salary range: $100,000 - $150,000
