Job Summary

The Loan Operations Team Lead is responsible for guiding and assisting the team in managing loan portfolios. This position will be responsible for error resolutions and process changes/updates to reduce ongoing inaccuracies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Updates and reviews the Mortgage Servicing System (MSP) with all new data input on the portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely consumer disclosures.
  • Error Resolution: Performs system maintenance and ensures proper documentation for all adjustments made for critical loan data, resolving errors and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Process Improvement: Identifies and implements process changes to reduce ongoing inaccuracies and improve overall efficiency.
  • Team Support: Assists, trains, and guides the team in their role and responsibilities, serving as a go-to resource for loan assignments and portfolio management.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Maintains, updates, and produces reports for all loan functions to help support the team and identify data discrepancies within current loan portfolios and incoming loan populations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associated degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum three years loan servicing experience required, with a full understanding of reports, loan documents, and FHA, VA, and USDA government loan products preferred.
  • Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to instruct members of the team; some reporting experience and data analytics; experience using Microsoft Office; intermediate Microsoft Excel skills; strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
