The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising nurses and medical assistants, supporting providers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervision and Leadership
- Assign nursing personnel and staff to specific patients and providers
- Designate shift and schedule assignments
- Perform supervisory functions, including selection, training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions
- Patient Care
- Work in collaboration with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized plans of care
- Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained
- Administer medication, including IV medications as required
- Communication and Liaison
- Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, families, and other resources
- Facilitate communication, problem-solving, decision-making, crisis intervention, and conflict management
- Quality and Safety
- Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures, and protocols
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
- Associate degree in nursing with 2 years of nursing experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New Mexico
- Completed degree from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis
