Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive compensation package ranging from $58,000-$65,000 annually, with weekly direct deposits and comprehensive insurance including medical, dental, vision, life, professional liability, and long/short-term disability. We also offer a matching 401(K) plan and W-2 employment through ProCare Therapy.

Job Description

Your primary responsibilities as an Education Support Specialist will include:

  • Providing individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention strategies and support plans for students.
  • Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for students with special needs or circumstances.
  • Advocating for students' rights and access to resources both within the school and in the community.
  • Organizing and facilitating workshops and programs on topics such as bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and mental health awareness.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited program.
  • Michigan State licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (if required).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational or similar setting.
  • A strong understanding of child development, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic techniques.
Interview Process

The interview process typically involves a 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter, followed by a 20-30 minute virtual or in-person interview with the school district. Offers are usually made within 24 hours of the virtual interview.
