Job Title: Collections Manager

Archbold Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections Manager to join our team. As a Collections Manager, you will be responsible for the organization, staffing, planning, training, orientation, and controlling of personnel and activities within the Collections and Corporate Billing work groups and its interrelationships with other areas of Financial Services and other departments in the hospital organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all vendors for collections
  • Responsible for quarterly review of State and Federal regulations for any changes
  • Responsible for researching and maintaining of all regulatory guidelines that pertain to participation in the Indigent Care Trust Fund Program and the Federal 501(r) regulations
  • Contributes to the effective management of the department
  • Contributes to the effective operation of the Medical Center by demonstrating dependability in job performance
  • Contributes to the philosophy of quality of care and human dignity at the Medical Center
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or G.E.D.
  • 2 year Accounting or Business undergraduate degree preferred
  • May be substituted by 5 years experience in a patient accounting setting with 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a patient accounting setting
  • Must be familiar with aspects of Patient Financial Services, Registration, Quality Assurance, Preadmission, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Payments and Adjustments, and Collections
  • At least three years experience as a supervisor is required
  • CPAR designation is required
