Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management and team members to identify and address facility needs.
  • Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Keep management informed about the status of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Work with the team to present an appealing and well-maintained facility.
  • Address work area challenges promptly and provide effective solutions.
  • Ensure that maintenance staff and service providers have the necessary tools and supplies, maintaining equipment in optimal condition.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Develop initiatives aimed at cost savings.
  • Promote and adhere to safety protocols across all responsibilities, addressing any unsafe conditions.
  • Conduct inspections and perform repairs on HVAC, generator, and boiler systems, engaging external contractors for complex issues.
  • Inspect and repair electrical and lighting systems, utilizing outside contractors as necessary.
  • Assess and fulfill landscaping requirements, including mowing, trimming, and snow removal.
  • Source parts and equipment needed for repairs and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventive maintenance activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of maintenance practices and standards.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement effective solutions to facility-related challenges.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of facilities maintenance, including environmental systems, painting, HVAC, fire suppression, and minor carpentry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • HVAC or electrical certification is advantageous but not mandatory if the candidate has demonstrated experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong attendance and reliability record.
  • Willingness to respond to emergency situations outside of regular hours.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry items up to 75 lbs, along with standing, bending, and moving objects as needed.
