Job Title: Partner Abuse Intervention Program Facilitator

Job Summary:

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Partner Abuse Intervention Program Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing partner abuse intervention program services to clients within the guidelines of agency policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides partner abuse intervention program services to clients within the guidelines of agency policies and procedures.
  • Develops collaborative partnerships with other Salvation Army units and community partners to achieve an integrated model of mission for the program.
  • Directs treatment and case management services, including providing partner abuse intervention program groups and maintaining frequent case-related contacts with local resources and collateral sources.
  • Refers clients for services as needed and obtains appropriate Release of Information before a referral is made.
  • Initiates contact with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services as a mandated reporter when child abuse or neglect is suspected.
  • Keeps supervisor informed regarding case-related subpoenas and attends court when appropriate.
  • Records contacts, situations, or incidents in case notes and completes case and statistical recordings, and other required reports and record keeping for assigned clients.
  • Engages in bi-weekly professional supervision with designated supervisor and maintains awareness of applicable liability issues and other applicable legal issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Completed 40-hour domestic violence training or has a plan for completion.
  • Completed 20-hour partner abuse intervention training or has a plan for completion.
  • Previous experience in domestic violence work is preferred.
