Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Operating Room. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of surgical procedures.

  • Schedule: Full Time with a Rotating Schedule, including varied hours during weekdays and some on-call commitments during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

The Surgical Technologist will:

  • Prepare the surgical environment with both sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Provide necessary instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients.
  • Maintain organization of instruments and monitor instrument counts throughout surgical procedures.
  • Support surgeons in achieving hemostasis during operations.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

  • BLS Provider certification is required within 30 days of hire or transfer. Acceptable certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the Operating Room (1+ years) and completion or near completion of a surgical technology program is strongly preferred.
