Job Opportunity

Cortica is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Neurology Medical Director to lead our clinical team in Massachusetts. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing administrative medical leadership, direct patient care, and supervising physicians and nurse practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative duties (up to 20%):
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and oversee ongoing training and performance for new physicians and other medical practitioners.
  • Partner with Area Directors and other area administrative leaders to achieve clinical and operational excellence.
  • Achieve clinical and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the area medical program.
  • Lead, inspire, and motivate the area medical team and broader clinical/operational team to align and execute on Cortica's mission.
  • Participate in business development, program leadership, community outreach, and payer relations in collaboration with Cortica leadership.

Clinical Duties (up to 80%):

  • Provide direct patient care, in-person and via telehealth, to pediatric patients at area clinics.
  • Perform all required activities related to patient care, including history, exam, clinical decision-making, order entry, referrals, documentation, and communication with Medical Assistants.
  • Meet productivity standards and expected ratio of new patient visits to follow-up patient visits based on the size of the patient panel.
  • Timely completion of clinical documentation, with 80% of encounters completed same day and 100% of encounters completed within two business days.

Requirements

  • Completed Medical School from an Accredited University.
  • Completed a Residency or Fellowship in Child Neurology.
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Child Neurology, Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, or other related specialty.
  • Unrestricted medical license in the corresponding states (Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina) or ability to obtain one before the start date.
  • Previous experience in a clinical leadership position preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this opening is $223,913 to $291,086.
