Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Imaging Specialist to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health in Austin, Texas. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in imaging modalities and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

The Advanced Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures in two or more disciplines, with a focus on advanced modalities such as CT, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and patient care standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures according to exam protocol and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure correct exam is performed on the correct patient and establish rapport with patients and others.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in imaging modalities.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) licensure by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), unless the role is MRI and Ultrasound.
  • Certification in TWO imaging modalities and works 50% of the time in the second modality.
