Radiologic Technologist Job Description

Rothman Orthopaedics is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Pennington, NJ. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will operate radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic radiographic images according to various physician protocols and perform epidural procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets and escorts patients to the appropriate room
  • Obtains patient history to ensure proper scheduling
  • Prepares patients for procedures by explaining the exam and answering their questions
  • Maintains patient comfort and safety while removing obscuring objects from the area of interest
  • Provides radiation protection for patients, self, and others in accordance with prescribed safety standards
  • Selects proper technical factors according to patient size and produces/develops quality radiographs
  • Critiques radiographs and makes technical adjustments as necessary
  • Assists during fluoroscopic procedures, such as epidural steroid injections and hip aspirations
  • Reports equipment problems to department supervisor
  • Participates in training of new employees
  • Maintains safe radiologic practice per standards adapted and implemented by x-ray quality assurance policies
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Active, valid registration and continued certification through the ARRT
  • Active, valid NJ radiology licensure
  • Knowledge of x-ray procedures and epidural procedures required
  • Ability to operate all equipment and machinery, including processors and computer systems, required
