Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, working in ambulatory or acute care environments to perform and interpret radiological exams. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret radiological exams, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans
  • Operate radiological equipment, including X-ray machines and CT scanners
  • Position patients for optimal exam results
  • Enter exam data into the Radiology Information System
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure accurate and efficient patient care
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a Radiology Program
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience as a Radiographer
Physical Requirements

This position requires heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. The employee may be exposed to radiation and infectious body substances.

Work Environment

This position is located in Rapid City, SD, and requires the ability to work designated shift lengths, including night shifts and occasional irregular hours.
