Job Overview:

The City of Eau Claire (WI) seeks an experienced Administrative Associate I to join their Police Department. As a part-time clerical position, this role offers valuable hands-on experience and knowledge in a law enforcement setting. The successful candidate will engage directly with the community, manage court documents and records, assist other departments with information, data entry, and more.

This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position consisting of approximately 20 hours per week. The preferred schedule will be Tuesday through Thursday from 8am-12pm and Friday from 8am-4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • • Maintain all police department records where significant knowledge is required in regard to state laws, city ordinances, and other applicable department regulations.
    • Responds to public records requests in a timely manner. Must be able to exercise decision-making that is consistent with Wisconsin State Statutes, confidentiality laws, and departmental rules.
    • Interact and communicate well with other departmental employees as significant contact with other civilian personnel, officers, and supervisors is required.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.) required.
• Associate's degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm preferred.

Salary: Estimated $15-$18 per hour based on location and experience. Total estimated annual salary: $31,200 - $37,440.
