Game Lands Maintenance Specialist

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 to provide essential upkeep and preservation services within our state game lands. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the beauty and integrity of our natural resources.
Key Responsibilities- Perform semi-skilled duties and assist with various tasks such as bridge maintenance, road repair, and construction of parking areas, gates, and signs.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, signage, and surveying new game land tracts.
- Conduct habitat management tasks, including mowing duties, border cuts, and access trail maintenance for outdoor recreationalists.
- Participate in nursery production, securing seeds, and pruning and releasing fruit and nut trees, shrubs, and vines for wildlife food enhancement.
- One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment, or one year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment, or one year of construction equipment operation experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver's License within one year of employment.
