About the Role:

The Activities Aide at Maine Veterans' Homes plays a vital role in providing engaging activities to our residents, promoting their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. This position requires a strong interest in activities and working with geriatric individuals, as well as the ability to direct small and large group activities and understand federal/state laws/regulations relative to long-term care activity programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct small and large group activities, including directing volunteers in the provision of quality services to residents.
  • Understand and comply with federal/state laws/regulations relative to long-term care activity programs.
  • Assist the Activities Supervisor and Activities Assistant in maintaining the activity department functions and a steady flow of activities.
