Job Title: Speech Therapist

TheraCare of New York is seeking a motivated Speech Therapist to deliver exemplary care and enthusiasm in working with our adult population in the Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Independent Living setting.

Job Summary

The Speech Therapist will evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with orders from the physician, through the use of therapeutic procedures designed to improve speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders to overcome disabilities from a variety of causes.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current state license/certification
  • Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
