The Southern Maine Agency on Aging (SMAA) is committed to enhancing the lives of older adults and their caregivers by providing vital services, resources, and information. We prioritize creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every team member is respected and valued.

We are looking for a full-time Medicare Program Manager to become an integral part of our organization. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong commitment to serving older adults. This position entails managing program execution, fostering innovation, and ensuring adherence to regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer the State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) and oversee Medicare education and counseling initiatives
  • Guide and mentor a team of volunteers to effectively implement program activities
  • Promote ongoing process enhancements and innovative approaches in service provision
  • Collaborate with volunteers to guarantee effective program execution
  • Ensure adherence to program standards and regulations
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social services or a related discipline is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in program management within social services
  • Experience working with senior populations and leading volunteer teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and planning abilities

Compensation and Benefits:

This full-time salaried role offers an annual salary ranging from $55,000 to $60,000. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, holidays, a retirement plan, and additional perks.
