Job Summary

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking qualified candidates for part-time Adjunct Faculty positions in Manufacturing and Integrated Technology. These positions will be responsible for teaching various courses in the field, including CNC Tool and Die, Electromechanical Technology, Fabrication Technologies, IT Network Specialist, IT Technical Support Specialist, Mechanical Design Technology, Quality and Advanced Manufacturing Technology, and Welding.

Responsibilities
  • Teach various courses in Manufacturing and Integrated Technology, including CNC Tool and Die, Electromechanical Technology, Fabrication Technologies, IT Network Specialist, IT Technical Support Specialist, Mechanical Design Technology, Quality and Advanced Manufacturing Technology, and Welding.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and industry partners.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to improve student success and retention.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement new programs and courses.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Manufacturing and Integrated Technology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of paid work experience related to the program(s) being taught, including one year of related paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five years.
  • Post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years may be considered.
  • Ability to adapt to meet student needs, including flexibility in scheduling, workload, and type/variety of communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and promote the educational philosophy and programs that MPTC offers.
  • Experience working and participating in a team environment and collaborating with other individuals and teams to meet student needs.
  • Experience with the MS Office Suite, the internet, and email.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must meet Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements as detailed in Chapter TCS 3 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.
