Job Opportunity: Adjunct Faculty

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking qualified candidates for part-time Adjunct Faculty positions in Adult Education at various campuses. These roles encompass teaching Adult Education and English Language Learning (ELL) courses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and facilitate learning in assigned courses, adhering to the College's core values.
  • Establish a professional and safe learning environment, setting the tone by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior.
  • Meet student learning needs by incorporating diverse teaching methods and assessments.
  • Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by FERPA.
  • Provide timely feedback to students to ensure continued growth and development.
  • Participate in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, and updating.
  • Assist with student recruitment and promote College programs and services.
  • Promote retention and student success through referrals to College services and resources.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with K-12, DOC, community, and industry partners.
  • Actively maintain knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices.
Requirements:
  • For Adult Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in elementary education, secondary education, adult education, special needs education, or Wisconsin DPI Secondary Education license in a core academic area (Math, Science, English, Social Studies) or Special Education.
  • For ELL: BA/BS with 20 semester credits in one or a combination of the following: English as a Second Language (ESL), Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL), Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), Applied Linguistics; Bilingual Education, and/or Foreign Language Instructor or Wisconsin DPI license in English as a Second Language.
