Job Opportunity: Adjunct Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at Moraine Park Technical College. As an Adjunct Faculty, you will play a key role in delivering quality education to our students and contributing to the success of our institution.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction in assigned courses, aligning with the College's core values and curriculum standards.
  • Establish a professional and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and success.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching methods, assessments, and evaluations to meet student learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate student records, confidentiality, and documentation as required by FERPA.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, promoting their growth and development.
  • Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to promote student recruitment, retention, and success.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and occupational practices, completing annual professional development activities and required training.
Requirements:
  • For Adult Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in elementary education, secondary education, adult education, special needs education, or a Wisconsin DPI Secondary Education license in a core academic area (Math, Science, English, Social Studies) or Special Education. Two years of teaching experience is preferred.
  • For English Language Learning (ELL): BA/BS with 20 semester credits in one or a combination of the following: English as a Second Language (ESL), Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL), Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), Applied Linguistics; Bilingual Education, and/or Foreign Language Instructor or Wisconsin DPI license in English as a Second Language. Two years of teaching experience in ESL is preferred.
