We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing diagnostic medical imaging procedures utilizing radiopharmaceutical and medical imaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and perform diagnostic medical imaging procedures utilizing radiopharmaceutical and medical imaging equipment.
- Adhere to standards for radiation safety and for appropriate waste separation and disposal of radioactive agents by performing specific tasks mandated by Federal, State and Hospital policies.
- Document daily all calibrations and flood films for all Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment, Dose Calibrator accuracy check, Hot Lab area survey, dispensed pharmaceuticals and radioactive source disposal.
- Perform periodic quality control tests, documenting according to Hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate adherence to the CORE Values of CHRISTUS Health.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
- 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting required.
- 2 years of experience in a clinical Radiology setting is preferred.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist registration from ARRT or NMTCB required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent.
