About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our team at Rapides Regional Physician Group – Women's Health Clinic. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
- Schedule patients for ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely and effective management of patient flow.
- Explain procedures to patients, providing clear and concise information to ensure cooperation and optimal test results.
- Position patients and select the appropriate transducer, utilizing your expertise to achieve high-quality images.
- Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings as needed to focus and capture clear images.
- Make hard copy images and document tests, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Order and stock all ultrasound supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and efficient department.
- Maintain department records, reports, and files, providing accurate and up-to-date information as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer.
- Must be certified in diagnostic ultrasound in accordance with state regulations, with certification bodies including ARRT and ARDMS.
- Knowledge of ultrasound diagnostic procedures, with the ability to operate ultrasound equipment and maintain a positive attitude under stress.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with others, with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
