Senior Claims Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Manager to join our team. As a key member of our insurance industry team, you will be responsible for leading claim investigations, handling monetary aspects of assigned claims, minimizing legal exposure, and managing moderately complex cases.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Claim Investigations: Conduct ongoing medical and legal reviews, commission field investigators, and determine claim origination.
- Manage Claim Reserves: Establish reserves within approval level, notify store managers of significant reserve increases, and monitor reserves for all open claims.
- Minimize Legal Exposure: Secure services of outside legal counsel, attend and participate in arbitrations, and assess the impact of claims on case law and precedent.
- Manage Complex Cases: Interview key witnesses, secure evidence, analyze evidence, and determine whether payment is warranted.
- Interpret Medical Reports: Review records for preexisting conditions, reference applicable case law/statutes, and present claim reviews and decisions to senior management.
- Negotiate Claim Resolutions: Share investigative results and rationale, listen to claimant perspectives, and come to consensus on appropriate and final resolution.
- Coordinate Job-Related Activities: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, support plans and initiatives, and identify and communicate goals and objectives.
- Insurance Adjuster License: Must have an Insurance Adjuster license or obtain one within 30 days of job entry date.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or 2 years' experience in insurance claims or related area, with a focus on settling claims and customer service.

CompensationThe annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00-$110,000.00, with additional compensation including annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Certain positions may also include stock options.
