About The Department:
- The Respiratory Care Services team conducts both diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic interventions for patients, both inpatient and outpatient. Our registered and certified respiratory care practitioners administer a range of therapeutic procedures, including inhaled medications, postural drainage, airway management, and oxygen therapy.
- Our department collaborates with medical staff to provide care for patients with acute and chronic conditions, post-surgical recovery, chest trauma, and cardiovascular diseases.
About The Role:
- The role involves executing all clinical procedures, including respiratory care consultations, RT interventions, ventilator management, and bedside diagnostics. You will also assist with outpatient diagnostic procedures as required, adhering to RT protocols and physician orders for therapy and ventilator management.
What We Seek:
- Education: Graduate from an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Must hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC. BLS certification is required upon hire, and ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Experience & Skills: Must possess current knowledge and competency in intensive care and neonatal intensive care, including EKG, ABG, spirometry, and oximetry. We value teamwork, compassion, attention to detail, strong communication abilities, patience, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work collaboratively and independently is essential.
