We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Adventist HealthCare. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiology department.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI scanners and ancillary equipment with proficiency and accuracy.
- Train new employees on the use of MRI equipment.
- Perform MRI safety procedures on patients, including those with implantable devices.
- Administer oral and intravenous contrast, understanding the principles and dangers involved.
- Accurately document MRI exams, contrast administration, and other relevant information in the EMR, PACS, and other systems.
- Maximize patient throughput and demonstrate teamwork with coworkers by managing patient load and transporting patients when necessary.
- Collaborate with coworkers, radiologists, referring physicians, nurses, and other departments to ensure best patient care possible.
- Perform periodic QA procedures as necessary.
- Contribute to the time management of the department by being punctual to work and on assignments according to hospital standards.
- Participate in PI projects and other duties as assigned.
- High school or GED.
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography.
- 1 year scanning experience; 3 years' experience in MRI preferred.
- ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI.
- IV Certification preferred.
- State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
