MRI Technician Job Description

At Mitchell Martin, Inc., we are seeking a skilled MRI Technician to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position patients on the examining table and place coils close to the area of interest, following protocols requested by radiologists.
  • Demonstrate the use of microphones to facilitate communication between patients and technologists during examinations.
  • Enter patient data, anatomical areas to be scanned, and other relevant information into the computer system.
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort through the control room window and closed-circuit TV.
  • View images on the video display screen to ensure quality and adjust settings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
  • New Jersey State RT License.
  • MR Certification.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Experience with Siemens equipment and knowledge of MRI protocols.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technician.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to make decisive judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
