Job Overview

SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the housekeeping department while adhering to budgetary constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of housekeeping personnel.
  2. Oversee inventory management and procurement of departmental supplies.
  3. Maintain budgetary records and manage variances as necessary.
  4. Facilitate daily task assignments and manage related administrative duties.
  5. Conduct regular inspections of guest suites to uphold quality assurance standards, keeping detailed records for each staff member.
  6. Support the ongoing development and training of room attendants and housekeeping staff, in collaboration with management.
  7. Regularly assess inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available.
  8. Encourage staff to be attentive and responsive to guest needs.
  9. Coordinate with the front desk and other departments to fulfill guest requests.
  10. Manage the guest 'Lost and Found' program, ensuring compliance with established policies.
  11. Report any cleaning or equipment issues to management promptly.
  12. Complete maintenance requests and communicate them to the appropriate department in a timely manner.
  13. Collaborate with sales and front office teams to meet meeting room requirements.
  14. Update the front desk on any changes regarding room status.
  15. Utilize the L.E.A.R.N Model for addressing guest recovery situations.
  16. Maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude when interacting with guests.
  17. Be knowledgeable about all hotel emergency protocols.
  18. Adhere to all safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
  19. Manage key control procedures for issued and guest keys.
  20. Respond courteously to special guest requests.
  21. Provide information to guests regarding hotel amenities and local attractions.
  22. Execute any reasonable tasks assigned by management that fall within your capabilities.

Physical requirements include frequent bending, lifting, carrying, and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Candidates must be able to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
