Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a DC Bakery Driver/Receiver. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery and cafes, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Count and record commissary-related inventory at the commissary, verifying the quality and quantity of deliveries.
  • Maintain First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory and track waste to optimize storage and minimize losses.
  • Coordinate with the sanitation team to ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company and government standards.
  • Enter inventory information into our system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work closely with managers to manage small ware and office supply inventories, and assist with ordering and receiving.
  • Communicate effectively with store managers, kitchen staff, and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Use logical reasoning to identify and resolve issues, escalating concerns to team leaders and management as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards.
  • Assist kitchen managers and supervisors in preparing and producing products as needed.
  • Operate a 16-foot reefer truck with liftgate, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of products.
  • Maintain accurate DOT records and work with Ryder to ensure timely maintenance.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and orally.
  • Proficient data entry skills and basic comprehension of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
