Bakery Order Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bakery Order Writer to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department, including ordering, inventory management, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage bakery inventory levels, including ordering and receiving products, to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Process customer orders and special requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with the bakery team to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Whole Foods Market's high standards for quality and safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with visual merchandising and display of bakery products to maximize sales and customer engagement.
- Participate in inventory management and control, including monitoring stock levels, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, including ingredients, nutritional information, and allergens, to provide accurate and helpful information to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including opening and closing procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- 12+ months retail experience, preferably in a bakery or food service environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90°F, and occasional use of heavy machinery. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic and ever-changing environment is essential.
